The landscape of modern industry, particularly within the critical disciplines of life sciences and engineering, is undergoing a profound transformation. Driven by the relentless march of artificial intelligence (AI), these once distinct disciplines are now inextricably linked. For students aspiring to excel in these fields, from the next generation of engineers to the physicians who will deliver care, a foundational understanding of AI, combined with strong research, innovation skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset, is no longer merely advantageous; it is an absolute prerequisite for future career resilience and impact.
📈The World Economic Forum projects that by 2027, over 97 million new roles globally will emerge in fields powered by AI, health tech, biotechnology, and human-machine collaboration.
📈The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics anticipates that jobs in biomedical engineering and health informatics will experience faster-than-average growth, with AI literacy and research capabilities consistently ranking among the most sought-after skills.

And yet, only a fraction of students are exposed to these opportunities early enough to influence their college path or career direction. The IMPACT Labs Academy’s FutureRx/FutureX Program is designed to close this gap. This immersive and intensive program empowers students to learn how to:

Curriculum Overview
Most students can identify problems, such as stressed peers, environmental waste, and inefficient systems. But few know how to turn those observations into real, working solutions. That changes in this program. In this intensive, team-based program, you will master the complete innovation process: identifying problems through systematic research, designing AI-powered solutions, building functional prototypes, and pitching ideas like an entrepreneur. No coding experience? No problem. You will learn the fundamentals of Python and machine learning as you develop your AI prototype. Working in collaborative teams, you will create an AI-based innovation from scratch, consider its ethical implications, develop a company strategy around it, and pitch your fictitious start-up on Demo Day. This program doesn’t just teach innovation. It transforms you into an innovator.

How is this program different from the school/college curriculum?
Most school systems don’t teach students how to apply their knowledge to real-world innovation. Here’s what’s missing, and how this program bridges the gap:

2. Application, Pre-requisites, Pricing
Is this course open to beginners?
Yes.
What happens once I submit my application?
Your application will be reviewed within 48 hours. If admitted, you will receive an email asking to confirm your admission. Once you confirm admission, you will receive onboarding instructions and payment details via email. If you are not admitted, you will also receive an email notification.
Should I know coding?
Basic familiarity will be nice, but not required. You will be introduced to Python AI/ML coding during the program. If you have coding experience and want to build a tech product, we can provide the necessary guidance to help you maximize the value from the program.
I do not reside in the U.S. Can I still participate?
You may be able to. Please apply still, and we will reach out to you with additional information.

What is included in the program?
- Weekly live sessions

At the end of the program, students will also participate in a Demo Day where they will pitch their prototype. They will also receive a Certificate of Completion.
What if I miss a live session?
Recordings of all live sessions will be available to students in the course portal for on-demand access until the end of the course duration.
4. Post-program Details
Are course materials accessible after the program?
Yes, students will have lifetime access to any PDFs and reading materials provided via Google Drive, allowing them to refer to them at any time after the program.
Are there any follow-up programs for those who completed this program?
Yes, if students wish to continue building their AI portfolio independently or work on challenging new projects in-depth and require mentorship, they can enroll in the IMPACT Labs 1:1 Mentorship program. For more details and to express interest, please email contact@impactlabsacademy.com.
Will I receive a letter of recommendation after this program?
Please note that this program does not include a college recommendation letter. However, students who continue into the IMPACT Labs 1:1 Mentorship program may be eligible for a letter of recommendation upon completion, at the mentor’s discretion and based on demonstrated merit and commitment.
